Sue Bowler discovered her passion for balloons in 1990 when she was looking for a creative home-based business. What started as a small local balloon delivery and décor company quickly grew into a lifelong career that has taken her all over the world.
Today, Sue is one of the most recognised names in the balloon and party industry.

She runs BAPIA (the Balloon and Party Industry Alliance) alongside her husband, John, supporting members across the UK with resources, training, and industry advocacy. Sue is also the author of The Balloon Blog by Sue Bowler, an internationally followed resource that has inspired and educated balloon professionals for over a decade.
Training
As an instructor, Sue has taught thousands of balloon artists through her workshops, seminars, and online training. Known for her clear, practical teaching style and her passion for design, she combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of colour, balance, and creativity. Her classes empower decorators at every level to gain confidence, improve their skills, and grow successful businesses.
With more than 30 years of experience, Sue continues to champion professionalism, education, and community within the balloon and party industry.
Sue is happy to run one to one courses or courses up to 4 people at her studio in Henley-on-Thames.
