Rob Driscoll has been a full-time professional balloon twister and magician for over 30 years. Professionally he works as “The Bow Tie Balloon Guy”, and as well as fulfilling bookings for dedicated balloon twisting under this name, he also creates balloon sculptures as part of his standard magic shows.

Rob is a keen amateur photographer, having had an interest since his childhood, and in 2013 he brought his 2 passions of balloon twisting and photography together to undertake a personal challenge of creating one balloon sculpture every day for a year. Over the year, the balloons were photographed, edited and written up in a blog to accompany the creation. This became known as My Daily Balloon and was completed on the 31st December 2013.

Following the completion of My Daily Balloon, Rob has embarked on several new projects (following public demand and his own desire to continue blogging). These have included -

‘Twisted Cinema’ - based around Rob creating famous movie scenes from balloons,

‘An A-Z of Endangered Species’ – To help highlight the plight of endangered animals and to help bring attention to the work of the World Wildlife Fund,

‘It’s a Balloon World After All’ – A virtual balloon twisting journey to various countries around the world.

‘Take Five’ – A balloon challenge exploring sets of characters from the world of TV and Movies.

Rob's work has also been featured in many online and print publications including Ripley's Believe it or Not! The Daily Mail, The Sun, The Guardian, The Huffington Post and Take a Break magazine to name but a few.

Rob has had the privilege of taking his skills and experience into teaching and he has lectured multiple times for the United Twisters in the Netherlands, for the Twisters Club in Amsterdam, at The Blackpool Balloon Bash, CEBA in Barcelona, Amscan in the UK, The Congress of Aero Designers in Ukraine, The Bling Bling Jam , The Florida Super Jam and Twist & Shout in Los Angeles USA.

In recent years Rob has combined forces with Angie George to provide training days and workshops for many different kinds of balloon twisting. These days are a great opportunity for other balloon artistes and decorators to add the much-desired skill of balloon twisting to their repertoires.
